A Conversation about Self-Care with a Free Gift for You

Four Gifts: Seeking Self-Care for Heart, Soul, Mind, and Strength began as an article on When You Work for the Church: Is Self-Care Part of Your Paid Employment, and Should It Be? I’m still amazed at that journey from article to published book, because believe me, not all books find a publisher and an audience that way.

Now I wanted to let you know that the Four Gifts Study Guide is available. It pulls together all of the reflection and discussion questions from Four Gifts, along with discussion questions for book clubs and Bible studies, a Scripture index, resource lists with 100 ideas for self-care, ideas to customize your own study guide, and more.

Another piece of Four Gifts news is that I was interviewed by LeAnn Hamby of MennoMedia about self-care in a time of COVID-19. If you follow MennoMedia on Facebook, you may have already seen this, but if not, you can catch it below. Of course, conditions during the pandemic differ depending on where you live and even from day to day. In my area, novel coronavirus cases are rising again as things have started opening up, but self-care remains just as important as it ever was.
